David possess BS/MSME degrees from CSU, Sacramento where he was active in the Hornet Racing Baja and Formula SAE programs designing and manufacturing small racecars for collegiate design competitions. He served as Technical Director at the end of his tenure with the team and accompanied 5 vehicles to competitions across the country. Concurrent to pursuing his MSME degree he worked as a part-time lecturer for the CSU, Sacramento Mechanical Engineering department instructing the laboratory/shop sections of the college’s Manufacturing Processes course where he taught students to operate machine tools, weld, and perform basic foundry operations while building a miniature model steam engine.  After completing his MSME he also instructed laboratory sections of the senior project capstone course, providing design feedback and assisting students in the manufacture and testing of their projects.
His work currently focuses on the installation, instrumentation, commissioning, and operation of new projects/experiments in the WCEC environmental chamber.
