Frederick Meyers is a Mechanical Engineer (M.S. UC Davis 2014) specializing in control theory, system integration, materials science, and smart sensors. At the WCEC, Fred is currently researching methods and applications for increasing building efficiency and indoor air quality. Previous research projects include active fatigue monitoring, ink-jet printed solar panels, and high-efficiency UV water sterilizers. Fred also has experience designing and building tightly controlled environments for plant pathology and genetic experiments. In industry, he specialized in the design and commissioning of highly efficient production systems.
