Aref Aboud is a Research and Development Engineer with a bachelor’s degree in both Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis. Aref initially joined the WCEC as an undergraduate student researcher in July 2019. As a student, Aref contributed to research at the Center’s solar heat exchanger testing site. Additionally, Aref aided in research studies which analyzed greenhouse gas emissions from residential heating technologies in the USA. Aref joined the Center as a full time R&D engineer in June 2021. He is currently working on research regarding the implantation of phase change materials as a way to reduce energy consumption in buildings.
